In the spirit of the “Paper or Plastic” debate, the info graphic “Car or Other Car” was created for publication in late 2007.

(Be aware, that the basic layout and format was designed to clearly reference – or spoof, depending on who you are – a similar layout used by the Washington Post in their feature called “More Than Meets the Eye”.)

Two versions were created. The below version is the unabridged version.

Album art for Arkansas rock band Kings of New England’s debut album, On the Cusp.

Kings of New England isn’t around any more, but they had a lot of fun while they were here, and so did everybody else. I am very glad I was asked to create the album art for their only official release, as well as their website and several posters. If you ever come across their album, be sure to pick it up and crank up the volume on your first listen.

This one is a personal project inspired by the many different ways one can read the Bible.

This is one part of a personal project inspired by the many different ways one can read the Bible. I call them Scripture Pictures.

For a long time I have been unable to read Psalm 42:1 without a little giggle. “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.”

It doesn’t work as well when reading from KJV. The humor is somewhat hard to find, as you can see.

“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”

If you’re curious, Yes! there are most certainly more “Scripture Pictures” on the way.

A personal project for a friend and colleague, giving his online identity a twist.

Michael is how I know him, but the online world knows him as Galloping Cow. Following a conversation we had one day where we discussed his ultimate goal to have a wax envelope seal made in his mobile bovine image, I thought I’d give him the next best thing, a galloping cow with shocking udders.

My next goal is to convince Michael to let me take Cantering Bovine as my online identity.

I have a thing for nicknames. They lend themselves so easily to great images. This image was inspired by a comment someone made on Facebook regarding Jason Burnett, or Cakeboy. Do I remember what it was? Not really. Until I do, enjoy the mystery.

One of several projects completed for WKU.

One of several projects completed for the Art Department at Western Kentucky University.

This small catalog was a lot of fun to do. It measures 5.5″ x 5.5″ and so has the feeling of being a CD sleeve. Inside are example pieces from every art student graduating that semester, which made laying out the catalog a good challenge, as I wanted to be sure each piece’s unique qualities were represented adequately.
